From expressive profile photos to portraits to VIP modeling comp cards, PhotoGraphique strives to present the best of who you can be.

This is a one gal studio; no assistants, no consultants, no office staff. It started in a small town Victorian house and has now moved to an open-air beach venue.

I'm happy to chat if you can catch me, but I ignore IMs when shooting, so notecards are best.

The showroom is always open of course. Photo session hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM daily.

Wondering what to wear, how to prepare for your shoot? Here are some tips.

I don't think of myself as an image counselor, but with over 1,200 fashion post and 5,000 photos I can definitely tell you what looks best to the camera. If you are new, unsure or just want a second opinion, I would be happy to help -- with or without the VIP Comp Card package.

And of course, I'll answer any questions you might have. Read though the pages here first though as most of the need to know details are here.

Modeling Comp Cards

Need to make an impression when you send in your next modeling application? Why not do what the real life models do and have your own ZED made?

Three versions in various prices ranges let you get what you need.

VIP ZED

The VIP card adds an hour of before shooting consultation. Get extra help choosing your poses, coordinating your outfit, jewelry and hair -- whatever you need. Make the shoot about who you are and what you love.

The extra hour of planning insures more shooting time so you will have at least 15 photos to choose from. This hour is most often at a time before the shoot, and not the same day.

Premium Comp Card price is $4500 with half down. Add $100 for EACH location change.

You receive each of the FIVE shots as 512 X 512 textures as well as the completed card.

You can of course purchase any other single photos at $100 each.

PREMIUM ZED

The premium comp card is similar to the basic ZED (see above) except that it includes five photos and up to two hours of studio time. Locations of your choice can included or you can pick from the selection of Second Life landscape backdrops in the studio. This extra time let's you change outfits, hair and backdrops without rushing. Putting your clothes into outfits, and picking out your poses and locales is VERY necessary to make this shoot go smoothly.

You will have at least ten shots to choose from.

BASIC ZED

The simplest version of the comp card includes three studio photos taken in high resolution, post processed and placed on a background (typically white) at 1024 X 512 assuring ease of viewing and perfect proportions.

While a standard card for SL (R) would include a swimsuit or lingerie photo, a formal photo and a head shot, other options are certainly available. Need something casual instead of formal? That works too.

The basic comp card shown above includes one hour of studio time, post processing, uploading comps for approval in world and the production of the card. The card is of course full perm and will not be used for any other projects without your permission.

Studio signature can be on one of the photos or none; your choice. You will have at least six shots to choose from.

Price for the basic ZED is $1800 with half down on booking and the other on final approval. This is a good choice if you are applying for store modeling.

You receive each of the THREE shots as 512 X 512 textures as well as the completed card.

You can of course purchase any of the other single photos at $100 each.

Portraits

Portraits are a perfect gift!

Portraits are taken in high resolution and processed to 512 x 512 pixels to accommodate square frames. They upload at 512 x 512 with the proportions being perfect on viewing; no stretching required. Portrait photo sessions include 30 minutes of studio or location time. Part of that time will be taken up with on the spot processing. You will have 3-5 photos to choose from and they will be uploaded for you to see IN WORLD at my studio upon the conclusion of the shoot.

As with all PhotoGraphique shoots, you may choose your studio backdrop or shoot location. There are a variety of specially taken in world backdrops to choose from as well as a rainbow of textured backgrounds. Use your own poses or pick out ones in the studio. Making your choices BEFORE your shoot is encouraged.

Pick your favorite photo or buy additional poses at $100 lindens each. All photos include post processing (cropping, editing out unwanted items, blurring harsh lines, adding lighting effect) and delivered full perm. Typically there is no waiting.

As a bonus, you receive your favorite photo in a touch resize, transferable photo frame. Give it as a gift to your significant other or hang it in your shop.

Prices:

One avatar profile picture = $400
Second Avatar = Add $200 (included an additional photo frame with picture)
Location shoot = Add $200
Additional photos from the shoot $100 each

So your prices could range anywhere from $400 for a single photo in the studio to $800 for a two person photo on location.

Studio signatures are typically on portraits, but you can choose to omit them or replace with your name.

Profile photos are prepaid at $400 with any extra charges being paid at the time of delivery - most often within a few minutes of the shoot. Profile vouchers are available in the shop.

Planning Your Modeling Session

Here are some tips for getting the most from your photo shoot.

Wear your best. You may love the first evening gown you purchased, but is it the quality you want in your photos? Pick out garments that are well made. Seams need to match. Prim parts need to really fit. Simple is fine. Elegant and classy doesn't need to be expensive. If you are on a budget, scour the blogs for some of the great Midnight boards, lucky chairs and group gifts that abound. Watch the sales too.

Be yourself. You may be able to wear most any garment as a model, but I'm betting you feel more comfortable in some outfits than in others. Choose clothes that show off your personal style and that you love. Let your prospective employers know a little about the "real" you.

Make outfits. If your photo shoot includes changes of garments, hair and jewelry, get your look together and make an outfit in the Appearance tab. Then you can just replace your outfit and save scads of time. To make an outfit, right click on yourself and choose Appearance from the pie chart. In the Appearance window choose "Make Outfit". Put check marks in all the available slots and give the outfit a name such as "Outfit: Modeling Casual".

Pick out your poses. If you have your own poses, choose your favorites WITH your outfit on. Pay particular attention to any prim issues like collars going astray, hands falling through skirts, etc. If you will be changing a few times, add your poses to Outfit folder so you have everything all together. If you will be using my poses, take some time in the studio before hand to cycle through the available choices. Make a notecard with the pose stand name (Natural Stance) for instance and the number of the pose. When choosing your poses make sure that your hands are on your hips -- not in them, that your hair falls naturally and not into your shoulders and that you look spectacular!

Photo Studio Rental

The photo studio is available for rent at PhotoGraphique's beach location.

Rent for half a day (9 AM - 9 PM or 9PM to 9 AM) for $500 linden. Studio includes three backdrops with texture change including specially photographed Second Life in world backdrops as well as colored textures in a variety of hues and shades. The basics are covered two with -- black, white and green screen.

Over 175 poses in categorized click through pose stands are available for your use. These are from top content creators such as LAP. Vain, Pffiou, Striking Poses, Glitteratti, Sugar Mill and others. I have chosen these poses from my huge collection of favorites so you are sure to find something wonderful here.

Photo and texture backdrops are click to change and include one area with two walls and a floor that can be textured to match or with contrasting walls and floors.
